This is a required textbook in my psych block and it served as a great source of information.
The book arrived on time and in perfect condition. It is a must for those studying psychiatry and the treatments of mental illness. It is also an essential reference.
The Saddocks do bad job in the section on ME in the unabridged textbook with many falsehoods included and also in the concise textbook it is not addressed except en passant as the only disease mentioned as being associated with mixed depression/anxiety which is misleading to say the least. I expect they do a similarly bad job here.
I think the book is a fantastic resource. Excellent information, lots of detail, but easy to get at the key points. Really nice in that it gives a lot of epidemiology. A must for any psychiatric resident, and certainly good for any mental health provider.
It's very similar to the DSM manual, yet is easier to read and understand. It's written so that everyone can understand what they are reading without having to be in the field.
